| Race Report: Springfield, IL (April 17th-18th) |
Drake Ostrom and new tuner Greg Dingess were defiantly on the same page this weekend as the Route 66 series opening event was held at Mid States Kart Club in Springfield IL. Drake in his first shot at the very competitive senior ranks performed strong all weekend. The team grabbed a 1st, two 3rds and a 5th. Unfortunately Drake suffered a DNS, DNF in Yamaha heavy as the chassis broke during the first lap of qualifying,
the last timed practice had Drake right about at the top of the group. The chassis was repaired and ready for Sundays action.
